Darwen Dash: privacy
Last updated: November 2026
The short version
You don't need an account. We don't ask for your email, and we don't use tracking cookies of our own. To run the high score table and to make the game better, we keep a few anonymous details about each game played. The ads are provided by Google, and Google may use cookies for them.
What the game keeps on our server
- A random player number, made by your browser the first time you play. It isn't linked to who you are.
- The name you type for the high score table (up to 15 letters). Please don't use your real full name.
- Your scores, and for each game: how long it lasted, how far you got, what you crashed into, whether you were on a phone or a computer, and whether the music was on.
- A scrambled, one-way code made from your internet address, kept for a few hours only, to stop anyone flooding the high scores.
Scores on today's table are deleted after three days. Game details are kept for about a year and then deleted automatically. All-time high scores are kept while the game runs.
What stays on your own device
Your high score, trophies, unlocked characters, settings and chosen name are saved in your browser's own storage. Clearing your browser's data for this site removes them.
Ads
Ads are shown by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads, and to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Where the law requires it, you'll be asked to agree first, and you can change your choice at any time from the privacy link Google adds to the page. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and turn off personalised ads in Google's ad settings.
Removing your scores
If you'd like your name or scores taken off the high score table, email us at darwendash@gmail.com with the name and roughly when you played.
